I am a bit late to the game, but still, here I have skin care gift guide 2017 for Christmas. What would be great to give to a skin care junkie for Christmas? If you have no idea, then keep on reading. I will show you gifts for people who don’t give much for their skin care and gifts for more demanding users. I was once a very undemanding customer, but now I am totally on the acids and retinol bandwagon.
For The Body – Skin Care Gift Guide 2017
I think L’Occitane is a winner for me here. This year they released two scents in their Terre De Limière* line and they both smell divine. So I think if you go with either of the two, you can’t miss. And there is one other gel that I haven’t had a full size yet. That’s their Almond Shower Oil. I always have travel sizes, but I think it is time for me to get a full size this time and I certainly recommend it to you.
And as for the body lotions and oils go, I have my favourite and a few others I throw on when I need a bit of pampering. I certainly recommend 4 Kids And Us Body Oil to everyone. I’ve been loving it for more then a year now and I still do. I don’t even know how many bottles I bought up until now. It’s that good and it gives me that special herbal spa feeling when I use it.
My other suggestions would again be from L’Occitane, they have a great variety of body lotions that you can choose from and I would also suggest body butters from The Body Shop.
For The Face – Skin Care Gift Guide 2017
I think you can never go wrong with a good quality cleanser. I am using Afrodita Cleansing Foam and Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Ever since I started using tretinoin, the Oskia gel has been my friend. Prior to that, I wasn’t very fond of it. My skin didn’t like oily cleansers and since this one turned in to oil once it was on my face, it was a no go for me. But now my skin loves it.
As for serums, essences and other caring products I suggest Melvita Plumping Radiance Duo from Pulpe De Rose line. I’ve been using it for quite some time and I love it on my skin. I also suggest you pick Pixi Rose Caviar Essence.
Lately serums with vitamin C have been very popular, so you might want to dig into that department. Currently I have Oskia Renaissance Brightlight serum, but you can get any other. I have my eyes on the one from Timeless.
Adding Acids And Retinol To Your Gifts
This can be tricky, so be very careful. You have to know a person well enough to know if they are already using the acids or if they are well aware of their effects. If they don’t know anything about it, then you better ask them if they even want this. If they do, then educate them. Usually the products come with great directions. But still, I think a person who uses actives should know everything about them and that includes the knowing about wearing SPF protection.
I have quite a few products with glycolic acid, so maybe a toner like Pixi Glow Tonic or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution could be a great gift. Or a mask for a start. I bought Alpha H Beauty Sleep Power Peel with 0,5% Retinol on a Black Friday and I used it two nights ago. So I can only talk about first impressions and mine are great. It made my skin really smooth. So that might be a great gift too.
All that being said, you have to know what products might not go well with your friend’s skin. So be careful when you’re picking up a gift, especially products for face can be tricky.
I hope this skin care gift guide 2017 was helpful and I hope you choose well.
Thank you for reading and see you next time!! xoxo
