Today I have a swatch of Alessandro Sexy Jill* and first impressions of Alessandro Tenderly Melting Hand Cream*. They were both sent to me by Slovenian retailer a while ago, so I think it is time for me to show them to you.
Alessandro Sexy Jill
This is a shimmery red polish, a new shade in Alessandro regular line. So it is not a member of any specific collection. It goes on nails smoothly and easily and it is opaque in two coats. It will look great during the Holidays, so if you don’t have a shade like that in your stash yet, I highly recommend it. I do have quite a few polishes looking like that in my selection, so it is not the most unique to me. But it is lovely though.
Alessandro Tenderly Melting Hand Cream
And the hand cream. The packaging is adorable and quite unique I must add. I love the ice cube look of the outer container and the polar bear on the box.
The cream is very thick and I instantly knew it had a lot of Shea butter in it. Actually it is listed in the first place on the ingredients list. Once you melt it, it goes on smoothly, but you have to melt it first. Well you know how thick Shea butter is. But the cream is not as oily, which I love. I am not a fan of pure Shea butter, because you end up being too oily and it doesn’t absorb as well as I’d like it to. This cream leaves your hands with some sort of protective film, so if you don’t like that, then this isn’t for you. I actually thought I wasn’t going to like it, but the film isn’t bothering me too much. So I am using this cream during the day too, not only at nigh, as I initially thought I would.
It protects my hands well, but for the cuticles I think it is too thick. I always massage any hand cream in to cuticles too, but this one is a bit tricky because of its consistency. So for the cuticles I will have to start using some other product.
The scent is a mix of coconut and the freshness from citruses, which I like a lot.
Check all the photos bellow for the swatches and all. I will stop here and say thank you for reading and see you next time!! xoxoxo
