Today I will show you 6 polishes from Avon Mark. Satin Matte line. They all dry matte and my experience with matte polish is they chip fast. I can’t talk about durability of these six shades, because I only swatched them, I wasn’t wearing them during the day. But if by any chance they aren’t durable, I can give you a piece of advice on how to make them last longer. I was doing that with Essie Cashmere collection. First I applied two coats of matte polish, then I went over with a fast drying top coat and for the matte finish I applied one more coat of matte polish. I know, a lot for layers, but it worked for me, the polishes lasted longer.
And now back to these babies. They were full of surprises. First of I thought only three were shimmers, but they all ended up being shimmers. And the second thing is they dry matte, well satin. And I didn’t know that either, because I didn’t read the labels. So there you go, these got me by surprise and I love it 🙂
Leading Lady* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
I can’t believe how easy the formula is on this one. It was my first to apply and I didn’t know it was matte, so I wasn’t extra careful with application. Because it was so easy to apply and it was so even when it dried, I was very surprised when it turned out to be matte. I was a bit more careful with the second coat, now that I knew it will dry matte, but again, no problems with application at all.
So two coats were needed for full opacity.
Electric Dancer* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
Another easy formula with two coats opacity.
Pampered Princess* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
A matte one coater? Yes, it definitely is! And with such an easy formula!!
Disco Diva* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
Two easy coats, but it still looked sheer in some spots, so maybe three coats would be better for complete opacity. It is streaky even when it dries, but it’s not horrible. So I would suggest layering three coats and the third coat might even end up without any streakiness.
Miss Drama* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
It is a dramatic red. And a matte red!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a matte red and it looks gorgeous! Just like red velvet *_*.
It was very easy to apply and it needed two coats for perfect opacity. However, upon removal the red pigments were hard to remove from under nails and from skin. So be careful when removing this polish.
Hail To The Queen* – Avon Mark. Satin Matte
I think this really is the queen here. To my surprise it is my favourite of the bunch. I think it’s because it’s the only one where you can see the shimmer even when it’s dry and matte. So yeah, my favourite!
It needed two coats for full opacity.
What do you think of the matte nail polish? Do you like wearing it? And about this particular collection?
