Hi there!! I am back from my vacation and here I am, already swatching polishes for you. This time they are thermal and glow in the dark and I must confess, this is my first time dealing with such polish. I know, I know, where have I been all this time, but I just didn’t come across them and so I never tried them.
So here they are, thermal and glow in the dark polishes, Serum No. 5 Empowered collection. They all dry matte, so I applied top coat on all of them. I am not sure whether the glow in the dark or thermal ingredient makes it dry matte. But I always apply a top coat when I wear polish, so that is not an issue for me.
Now let’s check the swatches shall we?
Pantsuit Nation* – Serum No. 5 Empowered
It’s a light mustard color when cold that turns even lighter, when warm. You can see the turn in the last photo (pointer and middle finger were held under wartm water for polish to turn the color). It also contains brown/golden micro flakies.
It needed two coats for full opacity and the application was easy.
Nevertheless, She Persisted* – Serum No. 5 Empowered
Beautiful lilac holographic polish that turns off-white when warm. My hands were so cold, so the turn in the last photo isn’t that visible, but it does turn.
And it was opaque in two coats.
Yes, She Can* – Serum No. 5 Empowered
It’s a pretty Barbie pink full of some particles that tend to get mixed in bristles of the brush. At least to me they gave some trouble when I was applying the polish. And when the polish is warmed up it turns pastel pink *_*.
But the formula was easy to work with. And it needed two coats to reach full opacity.
Shattered Glass Ceilings* – Serum No. 5 Empowered
Ah, this one is my favourite *_*! It’s soooo pretty with all those flakies. And again it turns lighter shade of blue when warmed up.
The application was very easy and I applied two coats to make it fully opaque.
However, the glow in the dark part isn’t working on my nails or in the bottles. I put the two polishes that were supposed to glow when cold in to the fridge, but when I put them in the dark, they didn’t glow. And then I warmed them all up, but they still didn’t glow. Or when they were room temperature, they didn’t glow either. So, either it’s me not doing something right or the polishes in my bottles don’t glow. If I manage to get them glowing, I will report back and share photo/s.
