Hi guys!! This time I have a winter manicure, since it finally snowed here on Friday. You should have seen my girls on that day. They were all crazy about it and they were making snow angels all over the place. I don’t know why, but we haven’t made a real snowman yet. Apparently they had such great time enjoying the snow, that they totally forgotten about the snowman :).
So today I decided to go with a snowman and some snowflakes. Since we haven’t made a real one yet, I thought I should make one on my nails. Here is how I made this mani.
First I applied two coats of Cirque Colors – Storm King on all of my nails (you can find swatches in this post: Cirque Colors Fall 2016 – Metropolis Collection). And then I did the gradient with Essie – Pedal Pushers (swatched here: Essie Spring 2015 – Flowerista Collection), Essie – Cocktail Bling and Storm King.
And I want to tell you something here. I couldn’t find my regular sponges, so I used Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge from Real Techniques instead. And I tell you, they were soooooo much better. I assume this is due to the softer and more dense foam. It worked incredibly. And the polish was so easy to tap on with this foam, really easy. So if you can’t make your gradients work, you should probably change your sponge.
After I was done with gradients on all nails, I started doing nail stickers with snowman. I used my Uber Chich mat for that. First I applied one coat of clear polish on the mat and then I stamped the snowman with MoYou London – Black Knight and MoYou London Festive Collection palte No. 01. After it was stamped, I filled the snowman with white Essie – Blanc and then I waited for the “sticker” to get dry. After it was dry, I removed it from the mat and applied it on my ring finger. I cut off the edges of the sticker and removed the rest with acetone. I did snowflakes the same way, so they wouldn’t smudge when I applied fast drying top coat over them. And that was it.
Did you enjoy the first snow here in Slovenia? Or do you have it where you live if you’re not from here? I enjoyed it only because of my kids, otherwise I am not a big fan, just so you know :).
Thank you for reading and see you in the next post. xoxo
