Today I’ll talk about Avon Nailwear Pro+ Metallics (I named them that, I don’t know if they are actually called that 😀 ). The shades are all perfect for this time of year. They are sparkly and will be great during the Holidays. And there is a wide range of colours too. You have a white, yellow gold and copper one and a more silver one. So I think everyone can find one for themselves.
I did a few swatches of these and some nail art too. And I am going to mention here, that all the shades had the same formula which was very easy to apply. They were all opaque in two coats (the first one was farly sheer) and they seemed a bit brush strokey, but that wasn’t as noticeable once they were dry.
Raw Gold – Avon Nailwear Pro+
Raw Gold* and the copper one are my two favourites.
Yellow Gold – Avon Nailwear Pro+
Yellow Gold* is the least favourite of mine. It’s the thing with me and yellow gold, I am not a fan. But this one is a very pale yellow, so it’s not that bad.
White Gold – Avon Nailwear Pro+
White Gold* is a beautiful white gold as the name suggests.
Rosie Gold – Avon Nailwear Pro+
Rosie Gold* is not a rose gold, but a copper polish. I absolutely love it, because I don’t have a shade like this one at home.
So these are the swatches. And now on to my nail art. I did one Christmas and one is more graphic. Let’s take a look shall we.
Christmas Nail Art
I went for some sponging and stamping. But first I applied two coats of Avon – Real Red (you can find it swatched here: Avon True Colour – Perfect Reds) and then I sponged on Avon – White Gold. After that I did the stamping with White Gold and MoYou London – Pro Collection XL no. 9 plate.
Graphic Nail Art
Here I went with a black base Cirque Colors – Memento Mori and then I did dry brush strokes with all of the shades I swatched in this post.
So, do you wear sparkly nail polish for the Holidays? I do 🙂 And you can check Petra’s blog for more swatches.
And which nail art I made do you prefer? I like way better the last one with the black base. It’s more my style.
Thank you for reading and see you in the next post. xoxo
