Hi guys!!! How are you doing? I received three Avon Gel Shine nail polishes from Avon Slovenia to swatch and review. So this is what I’ll talk about here today. I must add that I haven’t tried this line before, so I was curious how it would look.
Here they are.
Dazzle Pink – Avon Gel Shine
There are no descriptions on their site, so I am not sure what shade is Dazzle Pink* supposed to be. Pink or peach? The name suggests it’s pink, but to me it is a pinkish peach. And it contains sheen shimmer.
I did three cotas to make it even. It was opaque in two, but it didn’t level itself, so I did the third coat and now it looks perfect. That’s without top coat.
Roses Are Red – Avon Gel Shine
Oh, Roses Are Red* is sooo beautiful. I know it’s a red and there are a lot of reds out there. But this one is a one coater.
It has a jelly finish and is opaque in ona easy coat. I did two for the photos, but bare in mind you can make it look this gorgeous in one. Again with no top coat.
Barely There – Avon Gel Shine
Barely There* is a puzzle to me. In one moment I am in love with it and in the next I don’t like it. It tends to lean toward mustard in some lights, so that’s the thing I am not very keen on, but otherwise I like it.
This polish probably needs three coats too (like the first one), because you can see in some spots that it didn’t totally level out. So I think the third coat would level it perfectly. But it was opaque in two coats.
What do you think of Avon Gel Shine line? I must say I was expecting a more shiny finish and that that finish would last longer. I am wearing Barely There for a couple of days and the polish looks like an ordinary polish. The shine is a bit worn off. I have some very shinny polishes at home, but this one isn’t one of them. Though the red one looked more promissing regarding the gel finish
And what is your experience with them? Let me know, I would love to know.
Thank you for reading and see you in the next post. xoxo
