Hi my dear NPAs!! Today I am showing you something I wanted to try for a long time. Red holographic ‘modern art’ nails. I didn’t know how they are going to turn out, so I was a bit reluctant to try them. But as you can see I gave them a go. You can read more after the break.
For these I used three red polishes, a yellow and a black. I started of with one coat of Colors By Llarowe – Pirates of Penzance, a gorgeous saturated linear holo red and you can find the swatches and review in the link. Then I did some dry brushes with Essie – Aim To Misbehave and Essie – Hiking Heels, which was a part of Essie’s Summer 2016 collection Viva Antigua!. Then I started with the sponging. First I did Il Etait Un Vernis – Pinot Noir and then all the shades I mentioned before. I did the sponging until I was satisfied with the motif. And at the end I added the black Essie – Licorice, just to make some contrast to all the reds.
I topped it of with the fast drying top coat.
So what do you think of these red holographic ‘modern art’ nails guys? I’m really not sure. I like them, but I don’t know if I love them.
Thank you for reading and see you in the next post. xoxo
