Hi everyone!! As you can see the spring is in the full bloom on my blog. Spring collections are starting to pop like first flower buds in the gardens and grassy fields. And so does this collection. It is a new Spring Collection from Dior and they called it Glowing Gardens. A perfect name to describe their colourful collection wouldn’t you say. And the collection was inspired by the flower gardens of Granville.
It consists of four different polishes, three have a creme finish and the fourth has a shimmery touch to it. The new generation Dior Vernis has ingenious formula that plays up the gel effect and it really shines like gel. I was very surprised by that fact. Dior Vernis is formulated without toluene, formaldehyde, phthalates or camphor.
And here are the polishes.
Lilac – Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens
It’s a beautiful pink polish with lilac undertones. That’s what makes it a bit cool and I love it because of that.
It was very easy to apply and it was opaque in two coats. I have to mention the brush here. It is the wide one and its width is just perfect for my nails so it made the polish application easy as a breeze.
Garden – Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens
Oh my, this polish caught my eyes when I saw this collection on the web. It’s a perfect pastel green for the spring. And I have been obsessed with pastels lately.
The formula is great considering this is such a light colour and we all know how bad the formula of these kind of polishes tends to be. It needed three coats for full opacity and it leveled itself out beautifully.
Pivoine – Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens
You might think it’s just another red, but it’s not. I don’t have a polish like this in my collection. It’s a pastel red (if that even exists) full of pink/red shimmer. It’s very beautiful.
I applied two easy coats, but you could get it opaque in one coat. Although it’s better to apply two, because the colour gets richer and deeper.
Bleuette – Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens
And the last but not least is a gorgeous turquoise pastel.
The formula was similar to the formula of the Garden polish. It was opaque in three coats the only difference is that it is more on the jelly side. It isn’t jelly, but it is kind of squishy. Easy to apply and again for such a light shade. Perfect!!
So what do you think of this collection? I love it, all of the colours. They are so perfect for me since I am feeling pastel this spring :).
Have a great start of the week and have fun!! Thank you for reading. xoxo
