Top 6 Indie Nail Polish Brands in 2015

6 Indie Nail Polish Brands

Hi guys!! Today I am talking about my favourite Indie brands that I encountered this year. All their polish has an amazing formula and it goes on smoothly. The polishes are all at least 3-free, some are even 5-free.

Here they are.

Cirque Colors

I have met with this brand over a year ago. My first polish I bought was Galinda, a white glitter top coat. But then I somehow totally forgotten about it. It was this fall when Annie contacted me and sent me Meta Collection for a review. And after that I totally fell in love with the new Holiday Collection. That rose gold flakie is priceless ♥.

Cirque Colors is based in New York, US.  The creator of the brand is Annie Pham and from my experience, she is a very lovely lady. All their products are hand-mixed in small batches and hand-poured individually.  Slight variances may occur between the batches and are a natural part of the handmade process.

Cirque nail lacquer is 3-free, which means it does not contain toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). Each bottle holds 0.45 Fl. Oz. (13.2 mL) of product and contains high quality essential oils, such as lavender and clary sage, to lend your hands a subtle scent after the polish dries.

I bought this polish the same time as the previous one, so it is one of my first indies. And I fell in love with the variety of colours, finishes and of course their ‘name on the front of the bottle’ thing. I just love it! And here are some of the polishes that I have.

piCture pOlish is a collaborative nail polish brand with personality.  And it always adds some creative statements or pictures next to the name of the polish. That is so unique and thoughtful.

It is made in Australia and it is 5 Free, Vegan & Cruelty Free. And what I love the most about it is the fact that they make soooo many collaborative shades with bloggers. It is their way to say thank you to all the bloggers out there.

Il Etait Un Vernis

IEUV is a fairly new brand, a brand that was made by two friends who met each other through their blogs: Bé & Stéphanie. I came across this brand in the beginning of this year when I ordered some of the polishes from their collection Licence To Polish.

Their varnishes are certified 5-free, they are free of products which are harmful to health: formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde resin and camphor. And they are also vegan, contain no animal ingredients and are not tested on animals. And the brand itself is based in France.

ILNP – I Love Nail Polish

It is a nail polish brand based in Las Vegas, USA and was founded by Barbra Salet in 2012. I came across it this summer and I know, I have no idea how I haven’t found it before. And since then I have been hooked to the holographic polish, because that is what they make. Look at all the beauties in the photos below *_*.

The swatches of the polishes from both pictures are here and here.

ILNP does not test their products on animals nor do they purchase materials from suppliers that do. They make a conscious effort to avoid purchasing animal/insect derived materials like carmine and guanine/pearl, etc. as there are plenty of synthetic alternatives that perform the same or even better.

All ILNP nail polishes are 3 free! They don’t contain Toluene, Formaldehyde or Dibutyl Phthalate. These 3 ingredients were previously used in most nail polish formulations until recent studies found them to be potentially harmful or irritable to humans.

A England

It is a creation of Adina Bodana, Italy born  and now living in London, UK. She has a passion for England: its light, utterly romantic weather, somehow gothic charm and glory and this passion translates in to the gorgeous shades that she creates for her brand.

To Emily Bronte – my favourite collection from A England so far.

I have been eyeing this brand for quite some time and only in May this year I decided to purchase some of their nail polish. And I wasn’t sorry about it. The formulation was amazing and the colours and the finishes were great too.

Cadillacquer is a brand that is 5-free (does not contain Toluene, dibutyl phtalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor) and it is not tested on animals.

So these are the indie brands that impressed me this year. What are your favourites?

Thank you for reading and feel free to share this post on your social media. xoxo
