L’Occitane & Pierre Hermé Hand Creams

Hi my lovely readers! Today I decided to dedicate the post to these amazing and great smelling hand creams. These are a part of the new collections from L’Occitane for which L’Occitane founder Oliver Baussan invited his friend French pâtissier Pierre Herme to compose a collection of scents just the way he wanted. Pierre is renowned for his inventive flavour combinations so he deigned original and unique combinations that evoke memories of the lands of the Mediterranean and Corsica. And the gorgeous and very photogenic packaging was designed by Oliver Baussan.

There are three collections: Jasmin Immortelle Neroli, Pamplemousse and Rhubarbe and Miel-Mandarine and all of them have hand creams as a part of the collection.

Jasmin Immortelle Neroli

The fragrance of this collection consists of the floral note of Jasmine and the softness of Orange Blossom (Neroli) with the wild, honeyed and aromatic scents of Immortelle. It is absolutely feminine and sensual.

I can tell you it smells delicious! The citrus scent is very subtle with this collection, I can’t even tell you it is there. And it is great for your hands too, not just your senses. The consistency of the cream is not thick, but is not as light as some summer creams are. It absorbs quickly and it leaves some sort of film on your skin that doesn’t bother me. I actually like it, because it makes my hands smooth and they don’t get dry through the day at all. It really is amazing and perfect for the winter.

Pamplemousse and Rhubarbe

This collection really brings out the citrus flavour of grapefruit. Pierre took the slightly bitter, white inner skin of the grapefruit and underlined it by the green and crisp aromas of Rhubarb. Your sense of smell gets very stimulated by the scent and you can even taste it with your taste buds.

This hand cream has a slightly lighter formula and is less nourishing, but it still makes magic on my hands. And I can tell you that I have a very dry skin that needs to be nourished constantly during the day. I have a few hand creams from L’Occitane that are more summer appropriate and they have a simillar light formula as this one, but Pamplemousse and Rhubarbe hand cream is way more nourishing.

Miel-Mandarine

This delicious hand cream discreetly diffuses the exquisite scent of an encounter between Corsican Honey and Mandarin Orange. It is like the Golden Honey crystallized on a sun-drenched slice of Mandarin Orange. So sweet and delicious!

The formula is again light on your hands and it absorbs very quickly. I would say it is very similar to Pamplemousse and Rhubarbe hand cream.

They all have such different scents and they are all so delicious. I am very glad I bought all three and I am sure they will serve me well through the winter. If you are a L’Occitane hand cream fan, then you should definitely get at least one of these. My favourite is Jasmin Immortelle Neroli, but they all smell amazingly in their own ways. All I can say is mmmmmmm.

Thank you for reading and see you in the next post!
