Alessandro Christmas Calendar 2015 – Swatches & Review

Hi guys! As promised here is the second advent calendar that I bought. It is Alessandro’s Christmas Calendar. This one has a lilac winter theme and I must say that the colours and the whole outlook are very photogenic. It was very easy to take photos of this beauty.

The content of Alessandro Christmas Calendar: 5 testers for hands and feet, 1 nail buffer, 2 nail creams, 1 cuticle remover, 1 nail polish thinner, 1 base coat, 1 top coat, 1 Pro White nail effect polish, 1 nail hardener, 9 mini nail polishes and Xmas Snowball Hand Cream.

And the same warning goes for this post, it’s a picture heavy post.

DAY 1 – Alessandro – Dark Rubin

I don’t even know how to describe this colour, brown and red and chocolate full of sparkle. It’s beautiful and I loved it on my nails! I applied two coats for full opacity.

DAY 2 – Alessandro – Mini Buffer

It has four edges: File, Shine, Polish and Buff. I haven’t tried it yet, so you get only the photo.

DAY 3 – Alessandro – Hand!Spa Micro Peel

DAY 4 – Alessandro – Hand!Spa Cream Rich

DAY 5 – Alessandro – Nude Elegance

It is very similar to Cutie Pie, but it is a bit less sheer. I applied two easy coats for the photos here.

DAY 6 – Alessandro – Nail!Spa Nail Strengthening Cream

This is a moisturising active cream with Shea butter and natural flower extract that promotes nail growth and increases the elasticity of the nails. I have tried it a couple of times, but haven’t noticed any improvement of my nails.

DAY 7 – Alessandro – Bubble Gum

Waw, what a stunning pink! It is a one coater, but I applied two coats as usual. And the application was very easy.

DAY 8 – Alessandro – Cuticle Remover

I haven’t tried it yet, so no thoughts on this one either.

DAY 9 – Alessandro – Secret Red

Very easy to apply. It was opaque in two coats. Beautiful and easy to use red.

DAY 10 – Alessandro – Base Coat

DAY 11 – Alessandro – Hand!Spa Nice Day

DAY 12 – Alessandro – Velvet Red

This polish is gorgeous too! Two easy coats for full opacity and it has a jelly finish.

DAY 13 – Alessandro – Steel Magnolia

Oh, this shade is soooooo gorgeous too!! I just love it, and it has micro shimmer in it. This shimmer is very subtle, but if you look carefully you can see it in the full hand photo. It was opaque in two coats.

DAY 14 – Alessandro – Pedix Feet Heel Rescue Balm

DAY 15 – Alessandro – Gel Look Top Coat

DAY 16 – Alessandro – Nail!Spa Coco Mango Nail Butter

Rich care with mango butter and white tea extract for stressed nails and cuticles. Soothes and promotes nail growth. I haven’t tried it yet, so no thoughts on this one.

DAY 17 – Alessandro – Sinful

It’s another sheer neutral. I applied two coats, but if you wanted it to be fully opaque you should apply three. It also contains some shimmer, it’s very subtle, but I think it gives the polish that extra touch.

DAY 18 – Alessandro – Pro White – Nail Effect Polish

DAY 19 – Alessandro – Glitter Queen

This top coat is perfect for me. It gives an extra sparkle to creme polish and it’s not a glitter polish, which is a bonus for me, because I am not a big fan of glitter. I mean I love the effect that it does on the nail, but I hate the removal.

I applied one coat over Bubble Gum. It’s perfect for the Holidays!!

DAY 20 – Alessandro – Pedix Feet Go Easy

DAY 21 – Alessandro – Nail Polish Thinner

DAY 22 – Alessandro – Express Nail Hardener

DAY 23 -Alessandro – Rich & Royal

Wearing this polish definitely feels like it’s name. It was opaque in two easy coats and you can see that there are some minor brush strokes, but they didn’t bother me, they were barely visible.

DAY 24 – Alessandro – Xmas Snowball Hand Cream

As stated on their site: Snowball is a hand cream that has been specially developed for the cold season, which gives hands all the nourishment they need on rough winter days. Grape seed oil and cocoa butter make your skin silky smooth. First-class Vitamin E pearls melt away as the cream is absorbed into skin, releasing intensely nourishing active ingredients. The refined fragrance creation of orange, Christmas spices such as cloves and cinnamon as well as a whiff of the finest cardamom and coriander has an enlivening effect, putting you in a festive mood in an instant.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I will probably do a review in the future.

And this is 24 days of Alessandro Christmas Calendar. I loved all of the polishes, they were all easy to work with.

Here are they again in one place.

What do you think of Alessandro Christmas Calendar? I like it, but I wish there were more nail polishes instead of treatments for hands and feet.

And here you can check my review of Ciaté London Mini Mani Month Calendar that I did in the previous post. I also did a comparison post, so here it is.

Thank you for reading and see you in the next post. xoxo
