Hi guys!! Here I have a full To Emily Bronte collection from A England for you. So, I had to google who Emily Bronte was, because I didn’t know. And she was an English novelist and a poet, best known for here only novel Wuthering Heights. I know how Adina always dedicates her collections to English history, so I knew it had to be something like that again. And what a great collection to dedicate to someone!
And now on to the swatches.
Cathy – A England To Emily Bronte
It needed two coats for full opacity and look at the colour. I don’t know if you can see it in the photo, but it has a purple touch to it. Light grey shimmer with purple undertones, it’s gorgeous!!
It was a bit thick and that made it a bit streaky, but nothing major and it totally evened out when it dried. I have to tell you that the first coat was much easier to apply than the second one, because of this thickness. But it didn’t gave me any problems to work around the cuticles. I really don’t get this formula, it gave me some issues with applying on the nail, but not around the cuticles, and the result was amazing :). And I guess the result is all that matters, so it’s worth a little fuss.
Wuthering Heights – A England To Emily Bronte
To be honest I ordered this one just so I would have the whole collection and to my big surprise it blew me away. I was amazed how purple undertones gave this grey polish something special. And the shimmer is stunning. A real stunner for me!!
It is almost a one coater, but I applied two, just to be sure. It wasn’t thick and it was soooo easy to apply.
I think this is an elegant and sophisticated shade that fits perfectly in to the colourful fall.
Let Me In – A England To Emily Bronte
When I saw this collection for the first time, this one was my favourite of the bunch, but now when I met Wuthering Heights in person I am not sure anymore which one is my favourite. They are both gorgeous!!
It is a burgundy and again with purple undertones mixed with shimmer and subtle holo. It’s perfect for the fall.
It is a one coater (but as always I applied two coats) and it was very easy to apply.
Heathcliff – A England To Emily Bronte
This one is a little different from all the others in this collection. It is a sheer black base filled with glitter. I applied it on its own and I used two coats here, so it is easily buildable in to fully opaque glitter polish. However there are still some sheer spots present on the nails, so maybe it would be better to apply it over a black base.
The application was a bit tricky. The glitter gave me some minor problems around the edges and cuticles. And it didn’t dry in to the glossy finish and you can see this in the photos.
Look at all the glitter of different shapes and sizes and colours.
Spirit of the Moors – A England To Emily Bronte
A gorgeous blue base with shimmer and subtle holo.
This one needed two coats for full opacity and it was very easy to apply.
I liked swatching this collection, the colour selection is interesting and they all go so well together. A beautiful addition to the fall themed collections!
Thank you for reading! Have a great Friday!! xoxo
