Hi everyone!! How is it going? The weather here is getting better and I feel better already! I know I know, I’ve been going on about the weather lately, but the youngest daughter got a fever and she coughs because of this huge temperature change outside and because of that we had to be inside the house for four days :(. And believe me, you don’t want to be all the time inside when you have two kids :). They go crazy and so do I. So today was a nice change, because we were able to go out and the sun started to shine again :). Enough about this.
I noticed that since I went on holidays there is much going on for me in the blog world. This time I got rewarded by Essie Slovenija for my flowery manicure. They have a creative competition every month. They started with the month of June and I was the first one to win. I became the first Essieholic of June. The theme was Flower Power (I noticed that this theme keeps popping up in my challenges:)), and the reward was three Essie polishes of your choice. I chose Lovie Dovie, Sole Mate and Really Red and here is what I created with them.
As you can see I also used white polish as a base for my art. It was Essie – Blanc.
For the squares I used nail vinyls from Svenjas Nailart. I must say I fell in love with them. I have a few other patterns that I haven’t used yet, but I will, soon.
My pinkie and index finger are painted in beautiful pink polish Lovie Dovie. And to spice up a bit this mani, but not too much so that it would still remain elegant, I did these squares on a white base with all three colours.
I painted the squares with a stripping brush, that way it was easier for me to apply the polish in to these squares.
The last shot. I really am in love with this mani. I am probably going to do it again only using different colours. Maybe a light blue/turquoise combo?
What do you think? Is it still elegant although it is so colourful?
