Hi guys!! Today I am going to show you my most anticipated collection of the year, Essie Fall 2015 collection. I have been searching for this one for a long time. I mean I probably searched for it on Google in April, but I didn’t get any results back then. And then I don’t remember exactly when, but I think it was in June, I saw a tiny picture showing off the six shades that were going to be included in this collection. And I was impressed and then I couldn’t wait for them to come out. And now I finally have them in my hands. Here you have a picture of all the polishes together.
One more thing before I continue. I decided it is time I also show you some comparisons with other polishes. You will find them at the end of each polish.
And now I will start showing them separately.
Leggy Legend – Essie Fall 2015
First one is the namesake of the collection.
A gorgeous bronze hue filled with rosy and golden shimmer and perfect for autumn. It was opaque in two coats and it was a bit brush strokey at first, but those strokes disappeared once the polish was dry.
This polish has a vintage touch to me. I am a big fan of this kind of polishes (I always, and I mean, always notice them first, when I shop for polish), but sadly, I don’t think they look that great once they are on my nails. I looooove them in the bottle and I need to learn to love them on my nails, because they are gorgeous.
You can see in this photo, no brush strokes, and you can see how easy and beautiful the application was.
And here are my comparisons with this polish. I don’t have any dupes in my stash, or the polishes I have don’t even come close to this one.
Frock’N Roll – Essie Fall 2015
Oo, my, this one blew me away. Really, it was that gorgeous.
Look at the night sky and the Milky Way and all the other stars on my nails, and in the bottle.
The shimmer in this polish is just amazing, subtle and small, but it makes such a beautiful effect.
The polish was easy to apply, it was a one coater, but I applied two coats, because you get the depth on to your nails. I would describe this one as a dark deep plum/purple with the hint of grey filled with silver/white/light pink shimmer. Amazing!! Oh, and this is without the top coat, yes it was that shiny.
Look at all the stars hidden in the night sky. Pure love.
And the comparisons. I have no dupes here either, the First Class Desires is the closest, but not a dupe.
Bell-Bottom Blues – Essie Fall 2015
This one can be a one coater too, if you apply a lumpy coat. But as usual I did two. And do I need to tell you that I love this one too? Well it’s amazing deep indigo blue filled with light blue shimmer. It almost wants to be metallic.
It is a very deep blue, but you can easily notice the shimmer in the daylight. It’s more subtle indoors, but I think that is understandable considering the dark base.
The application was easy, again. No brush strokes in this one as you can see. It really is a deep sparkly blue perfection.
And the comparisons. No dupes here either.
Color Binge – Essie Fall 2015
This was very opaque and one coat is enough, but I did two for the swatches. It was also very thick and I was afraid it was going to end up streaky. But it didn’t, once it dried it smoothed itself perfectly.
It is a very beautiful red/orange fall shade, or this one looks to me like the red colour in the sunsets. I compared it next to photos of sunsets and it looks perfect. So I will probably use it in the nail art with sunset theme.
And the comparisons. The closest here is Sunset Sneaks, but it is more on the pink side and the Color Binge is more on the orange side.
In The Lobby – Essie Fall 2015
Wow, such a gorgeous plum/berry shade. And it has a finish that is more on the jelly side, so it really is a very deep, vampy polish.
It was very easy to apply, the formula was a perfection to me and two coats were enough to reach full opacity. And I didn’t apply the top coat.
Here are the comparisons. Bahama Mama is definitely not a dupe, In The Lobby is a deeper polish and it looks more like Sole Mate. But I think In The Lobby is more plum/purple and the Sole Mate is more burgundy. But they are definitely close.
With The Band – Essie Fall 2015
This brown/red/orange toasted spice burgundy is a perfect fall shade and it was a one coater, again. A little thick, but easy to apply. I wanted to apply this one perfectly, because I love it so much, so my hand was shaking like crazy :). And I didn’t use a top coat here either.
And the comparisons. You can see it is the darkest of them all here, so no dupes here either. But they are all very similar.
All in all this whole collection blew me away. So many amazing colours and they all have an outstanding formula. I think Essie nailed it with this collection.
And what do you think? Do you like them, are you going to buy them, or do you already have them :)?
Than you for reading and see you next time! xoxo
