Hi everyone!! Well I will go straight to the point. Today I have the whole Essie’s Summer Collection for you. You will get plenty of swatches.
Now let’s get started.
Private Weekend – Essie Summer 2015
First one I chose to do was the white sparkly one, because I read such bad reviews about it. How difficult it was to apply and such. So I said to myself that I am going to take this one down first :). I really was ready for a battle. But then a miracle happened. There was no battle needed, because it was easy to apply. No harder than any white polish I have in my stash. Really, it was very easy. And look how my hands look tanned :D. Thumbs up!!
I had to do three coats, because the first two were a little streaky. And the third evened everything out. It was a bit thick, but that didn’t give me any problems.
And here is the macro shot. Look how smooth it looks. Seriously, I have no idea why all the bloggers wrote such bad reviews. The only downside was that the sparkle wasn’t so visible once the polish was on my nails. But it did sparkle a bit under direct light. And I think it gave the polish that extra something, because it looked more than just some regular white polish. It looked like it was radioactive.
Chillato – Essie Summer 2015
This one was probably the one that I wanted the most out of the bunch. I don’t have anything like it in my stash, so I was determined to get it. But than again, those reviews, they were bad for this one too. But I read it was easier to apply than Private Weekend. To me this one was easy too. I had no problems whatsoever. It was watery, but in a good way.
This one was a bit streaky with the first coat, but the second and the third coat evened everything out. Beautiful!!
Salt Water Happy – Essie Summer 2015
This one was a little funny. There was always too much polish on my brush, and I wiped it pretty good. So it flooded my cuticles a bit, but it wasn’t a big of a deal, because the clean up was easy.
I did three coats to level it out, but it was still a bit streaky. It’s not that visible in the photos, but there were a few streaks.
And I loved the colour on me. It was refreshing.
Pret-A-Surfer – Essie Summer 2015
I think this one was the hardest for me to apply. I don’t know why. It was a little thick and again there was always too much polish on the brush, so it flooded my cuticles. I did two coats, but you could easily get away with only one.
It looked a bit streaky, but once it dried it totally evened out. And a major upside, it didn’t stain my nails or my skin when I removed it.
Sunset Sneaks – Essie Summer 2015
A beautiful red/coral polish that is perfect for the summer. And I am not going to write anything else here, just that it was exactly the same as Pret-A-Surfer. I thought I was applying the same polish, only of a different colour.
The only difference was that it stained my skin a bit, but just a bit.
Peach Side Babe – Essie Summer 2015
The namesake of the collection. To me it is not the best of the bunch, but if that is what they decided at Essie, than I am fine with it. I think it was the easiest to apply. No brush strokes, no streakines.
It was a little tick, but not as thick as the two before.
So, this is it. I looove this collection. Every single colour popped on my hands. I think they are all perfect for the summer. They are all cremes, beautiful cremes.
What do you think? Do you have any?
And have a great weekend!! xoxo
