Hi guys!! How are you doing? I hope you had a great weekend and I hope you will have an even better start in to the new one!
Today I have for you swatches of the whole Essie Neon 2015 Collection. Its name is Make Some Noise.
And all swatched in one place.
I was really excited when I got these, so I couldn’t wait to get started with the swatching. First one I did was the name sake of the collection.
Make Some Noise – Essie Neon 2015
In person this looks more teal like and a bit darker than here in the photo. It has a jelly finish and it needed two easy coats to reach full opacity. There was no streakiness and no brush strokes.
It did flood my cuticles a bit because of its watery consistency and the clean up was hard. And when I removed it from my nails it stained them big time. So you might need two coats of base polish for this one. I only did one. Other than that it is a perfect polish.
Melody Maker – Essie Neon 2015
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with this one. It is not neon at all and it is not even summery to me. I think it is more suitable for the fall.
The application was easy, no streakiness, no brush strokes. It is a bit watery too and it stained my skin a bit, but not as much as the blue one. And this one has a jelly finish too. Actually they are quite similar, only the colour is different.
All Access Pass – Essie Neon 2015
This is one of the gorgeous blurples that Essie has put out recently and I loved it on my nails.
I did two thick coats to reach full opacity and to have no streakiness. It was a bit streaky at first, but when it dried it evened out beautifully. It has a jelly/creme finish.
The consistency of this polish was a bit thick and that gave me some issues around the cuticles. I had to work hard to get the round edges around the cuticles.
Coacha’Bella – Essie Neon 2015
This gorgeous fuchsia was my favourite of the bunch. I loved how beautifully it went with my skin tone. It didn’t look that special to me in the bottle, but when I put it on my nails, oh my. Really, very impressed by this one.
The application was easy, no streakiness, no brush strokes. It went on smoothly around the edges and I used two coats to reach full opacity. It was simply perfect.
Vibrant Vibes – Essie Neon 2015
This polish was a positive surprise for me. I was afraid it was going to be streaky and a nightmare to apply, but no, actually it was surprisingly easy to apply. I did three coats with this one to make the colour pop. And it really did pop, my hands looked sooo tanned (sadly that didn’t translate to the photos). I didn’t think this one would go with my skin tone, but it did, gorgeously.
There were no brush strokes present and it evened out itself beautifully.
Groove Is In The Heart – Essie Neon 2015
This polish was the hardest of the collection for me to apply, because it ended up a little streaky. Nothing major, I mean I can hardly see the imperfections (I am still wearing it), but still, I had to work hard. I did two coats. The first one was normal and with the second coat I loaded my brush with as much polish as I could, so that it wouldn’t be that streaky. And I think it worked.
And eve though this colour doesn’t look neon here on my photos, it actually does in person. I recently bought some bracelets of neon pink and white and purple colours and they looked amazing together with my nails. I think everything together made my hands radiate.
All in all I love this collection. The only downside here is the green polish. And the collection should be named after the neon polish Vibrant Vibes, since this is neon collection.
What about you? Do you have them, do you like them?
