Essie Red & Glitter Bars

Essie Red

Happy Saturday everyone!! The children are taking an afternoon nap, so I have the time to write the blog. This time I decided to recreate someone else’s nails. On IG I follow this lovely lady Kristina Siritsa and she made a beautiful nail art that I just couldn’t stop thinking about. So I did what she had done. I only chose some different colours.

As a base polish I used Essie – Urban Jungle. I have an American version with the thin brush and it was hard to apply. I used this polish a couple of times and it always gave me such hard times, but this time it was better. I think I prepared myself a little for the hard application and then it all went beautifully. I did the first coat super thin and then with the second one I reached full opacity.

There were still some brush strokes visible at the end, but it was ok since I knew I was going to do some art over it. If I worn it alone, then I would probably go for two very thin layers and then a third one thick or thin, depending on the coverage of the two thin layers.

This deep burgundy polish is Essie – Bahama Mama. I love this colour soo much. It’s perfect for any season.

And the last of the colours was Essie – Peach Daiquiri. A very vibrant spring/summer colour.

As you can see I also added some sparkle. This was Il Etait Un Vernis – Juggling Glass Balls. It is a holo top coat and it was perfect to connect all the polishes together.
