Hi everyone!! How is it going? I am doing fine. I ordered a couple (well more than a couple) of polishes and now I am waiting for them to arrive. You will get swatches of them, so I think I am going to have to do some swatching in the days to come. But let’s just wait for them to arrive first :).
In the mean time I have new art for you. The cherry trees are not flowering yet here, but still I decided to draw some cherry blossom on my nails.
The turquoise polish here is the new polish from Essie’s spring collection. It is called Essie – Blossom Dandy. This is such a beautiful new shade, and you will get the full review of it when I get all the polishes from that collection. In my country there are only four of them available in the stores, so I am waiting till May for them to be available in Austria, so that I will have all of them. Until then this mani will have to do :).
As a base for the cherry blossom I chose Essie – Fiji. Not to pink, but just the right amount for the background of those blossoms.
I did the blooming cherry with acrylic paint. Dark brown for the branches, pink and white for flowers and green for the leaves.
Doing the art part with acrylic paint is for me much easier then doing it with polish. Less messy and easier to control.
What do you think? And do cherries blossom in your part of the world already? I forgot to tell you, but it was snowing here on Monday, so I’m afraid there won’t be any blooming of the trees yet :(.
And one more thing. I added my blogpost to the Monthly Naillinkup. It is a monthly challange with prompts for every week in the month. I already put my Easter Chick in this challange under Easter prompt.
