Totally Doable I Have A Life Challenge #5 “New Technique”

New Technique

Hi everyone!! Today is a special day. Me and my husband have been together for 10 years and today is our anniversary. We haven’t been married that long, but this is the date we started dating. In the evening we are going for a dinner, on a date :).

And for the challenge today we had to do “new technique”. Well for me there were many new techniques that I hadn’t tried yet, so it wasn’t so hard to pick one. I chose to sponge glitter on one nail on each hand.

Oh, and this rose was from my husband <3.

For the base I chose Essie – Fiji. I thought it was going to be more pinkish, but in the end it ended up more white. To be honest I prefer it this way, but in the bottle it looked more on the pink side.

Well, if I take a look at this photo polish on nails and polish in the bottle look the same, but still, I thought it was going to be different.

For the accent nail I chose as a base Essie – Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low, so that the glitter will have full opacity. I didn’t want to have any sheer spots. And the glitter polish I took was L’Oreal – Disco Ball.

New Technique

It truly looks like a disco ball. I have always wanted to do this fully glittered nail and now when I did I am in love with it.

For the spots on all other nails I used Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low. I dotted the spots with a dotting tool.

I will be wearing this mani to our date. What do you think? I think it is very suitable for the occasion.
