Hello hello everybody! How are you doing? Has been the new year any different than the one we just left behind? Well mine wasn’t :).
Today’s challenge for the mani is “sparkles”. For me there was enough sparkle and shiny things in December. So this one was a bit hard. In the end I decided to go with the polishes I haven’t used yet.
For the base polish I chose Essie – Tuck It In My Tux. I loooooooove this one. It is amazing white with a jelly finish. I don’t know if it is white white, it states on their site it is ivory creme. It needed three coats to reach full opacity, but that didn’t bother me. For a few months I even thought it wasn’t sold in my country. But luckily I was wrong. When I found out that the whole winter collection was at my hand’s reach, I bought four of them. The red ones were too similar to the ones I already have, so I didn’t buy them.
And for the accent nails I chose Essie – Hors D’Oeuvres. Man this one is hard to spell. I don’t even know how to pronounce it :).
Here I wanted to do more glitter at the end of the nail and less at the cuticle. I don’t know whether I was successful or not, but I like the outcome. This glitter has silver hexes, small and medium ones. And it also contains golden shimmer. A beautiful combination.
In the end I kind of like it that it was sparkles we had to do. It gave me the a chance to use these two beauties.
