Hi everyone! Have you bought your Christmas gifts yet? I haven’t. Well at least not all of them. For my grandparents, my parents and my husband’s parents I made calendars with pictures of my two little girls. I took pics of all the things we did last year and arranged them accordingly to months that those thing happened. I did the same thing last year and they were thrilled about it. So I chose the calenders again cause I believe they will love it. You know how grandparents feel when they see pictures of grandchildren on their wall :). And as for all the other gifts, well I still have some shopping to do.
And onto my nails. I chose to do some contrast for the Holidays. I went with a darker base. And I livened it up with some glitter and silver/golden shimmer.
The deep blue colour is Essie – Mind Your Mittens. I think it is from their last year’s Winter Collection. It was easy to apply and almost opaque in one coat. I used two for my mani here.
For the glitter accent I used this gorgeous polish KBShimmer – Flake Dance. The pictures don’t do it justice. It reflects all sorts of colours. I think all the colours of the rainbow. And that didn’t translate to the pictures.
You can see the snowflake on my nail. The only downside was that I had to fish the snowflake out. Well it wasn’t that hard, but if I took out the brush without fishing I never got any snowflake on it.
And for the ring finger I used Essie – Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low again. I really am in love with this white and yellow golden shimmer. You can see the mixture of both in this macro shot. It’s perfect for me.
All in all I love this combination, especially the shimmer and the blue polish. I think I’m gonna use them together again.
